It's not that hard ;)

In Hadrian's wall itself it's a bit trickier (you have to watchout where you walk)... But getting there is easy enough...

If you want me to show you sometime, just give me a PM (if I'm in Sauvage and I have time ;) )

if I were an Alb, I would probably go from Snowdonia rather than Sauvage, it's much shorter, and there aren't really any mobs in the way, just guards, which would be on your side.

Thought that might be the case :) I got killed twice by a great brown drake that saw me from miles away :puke:

Snowdonia and Sauvage arent that different, getting to Snowdonia takes longer then getting to Sauvage (in most cases, unless your near humberton)... So in the end that makes up for the extra travel time...

If you know how to travel through Peninne Mnts, then its not a problem... There is some stray agro in Hadrians wall, otherwise its quite safe...

Without a minstrel, either options are a real drag

I think it'll easely take 15 minutes to get to hadrians wall, only to find out there's NOTHING there...

From Snowdonia

Its definitely easier that way - you can hug the border most of the way and avoid all the nasty mobs

these guard towers are just kewl !
I even exped there a bit, Veteran Guardsman drops >1G sometimes that helps also ;)
What about Pennies - Mythics are too Alb oriented in this case as usual ;)

check out maps at www.io.com/~caladin/kirstena/

easy way from snowdonia would be to hug the border and go E all the way :)

easy way from pennine would be to follow the big stones (sort of like a path) all the way to sursbrooke then NE (i think) to hadrians - u avoid most high lvl aggro mobs that way

alb frontiers

well the frontiers of alb is kinda hard to move around in (if u not a stealther) the patrols there are everywhere :/ and most mobs are aggro high lvl - the xping (albs) in savage forest are non existing. some ppl xp in snowdonia, but not like the hibs/mids do.

Exping in Sauvage/Pennies

2 Music, it isnt 100% true...
In the peak hours u could meet lvl 35-40 group exping in Pennies near Forest Sauvage border... or u could find lvl 40+ soloers/pair there.

But they are so rare ! about 1 alb per hour... doesnt worth lost time anyway.
Albs are cowards, they dont want to exp where someone could kill em !
And ppl who xp there are n00bs in RvR usualy so u dont get many RP out from them.
From the things i saw were:
1) Yellow armsman sat down after i killed his blue briton friend. (30 RP ONLY !)
2) Another yellow armsman run away from me cause i managed to fumble twice in a row and then ran around with shield equipped looking for me about 25 minutes solo ! Needless to say my patience gone and i killed him (11? arrows). He didnt do neither face nor engage. I was just astonished.
3) Orange armsman with shield equiped didnt engaged, he just stood still looking around.

So it may be funny to go Sauvage once or twice but u get bored instantly.

pesonally i never go there to xp because:

1) it's the oppisite end of the map to the 40+ xp zones, Lyonnesse and DM.
2) its very hilly (hard to see distance)
3) its a forest (again hard to see anything)
4) hundreds of Huge high lvl aggro mobs everywhere
5) hardly any albs are there
6) i hate forests (camp. forest the most)

Only reson i go there is for realm defence and i wanna try out a catapult/balista and the only(?) place to get ammo is merchant keeps :(

EDIT: i used to solo in snowdonia, tis a nice place :m00:

Heh Urca, that was me and Gremon... we were hunting Knotted fellwoods near excalibur... we had just finished a few and Gremon healed me... we both had 0 endurance... suddenly i see his HP go down 50 %. At that point i know a stealther was shooting him... i also knew Gremon didnt stand a chance if 1 shot already got him down to 50% and you have a quite fast bow.

And indeed i sat down while Gremon died... why do you think? Because in the time you finish him off (took you 2 seconds, i had 0 chance to save him) i can gain some endurance to get Engage on you. The moment you targetted me and shot me i put engage on you and charged you... i blocked about 4 of you arrows.... unfortunately my endurance was gone when i got to you and you did get some shots in before i engaged so my HP was down a bit too.

It was a good kill you made... but what you didnt know was we were out of endurance...

Thanx for not exp-killing by the way... :)

PS: you get RP's judged by the level difference, the game doesnt give you less RP's if you kill a n00b :)

Reason you 'only' got 30RP's was cos we just came out of combat and it is relatively easier to kill people that just came out of combat.

Ok I am a new player to RvR, so I have a newbie question.

Whats engage and how does it work.

Interested cause if its an angle that will help and armsman in RvR, it could be usefull.

Cheers in advance.

Engage is a Shield ability.

It means that instead of attacking a mob or a player you 'concentrate' on blocking instead. This means you get a 85% base percentage on blocking. This percentage is slightly moderated by your stats and the level of mob/player you try to block.

The downside to Engage is that it costs endurance... when that runs out, no more engage

In reality this ability means that an archer shouldnt be able to kill an even con tank with Engage, that has full endurance.

btw rps are judged on how many rps the person you killed had nothing to do with lvls if yyou kill a lvl 20 with 4k rps(unlikely) you will get moire rps than a lv 50 with 200 rps :p
soo on that note everyone kill nolbypride :)

Ehh, no.

Trust me, if Mad goes afk and forgot to put his armour on, a lvl 15 who killed him wouldnt get 900+ rps like I did :p

hadrians is absolutely dead & noone goes there cept for their lvl 40 epic ... pity too as its a very nice place - would be a very nice change from Emain :(

pennines u can find the occasional small grp of 40s doing ellylls, ravenclan and cyereaths

snowdonia usually mid 30s doing arawnites and hollow men but these grps are quite rare ... once in a while a mage (sorc, cab) soloes around there too :)

sauvage usually most low lvls around there i think about 20-30 but not many of em - most prefer to go to Cornwall (only xped in Sauvage once before :))

ps : noone xps in Alb frontiers cause xp absolutely sucks :) only good place comparable to Lyonesse and Dartmoor is to hunt ellylls in Pennine

ppl dont hunt ellylls for xp :E

its a lie spread by plate wearers that they give good xp so they can get a group to drop hunt ;)
