Ok, when i was playing my eld rvr, noobs in the group used to annoy me a bit. But not too much, people have to learn sometime right? Some of the slower to pick up things ones would perhaps annoy me (having to be told what they were doing wrong over and over) but other than that i was pretty tollerant.
But recently i got my bard up to decent rvr levels and am beginning to see things from a whole different perspective. I now understand why despite there being quite a lot of bards about hib it can be tough to find one for rvr and also once you do find one why they often log after only a couple of runs. I really wish people would go to the other 2 bgs more and perhaps that a 4th higher bg were there too, because a lot of people who turn up at rvr (often lvl 50's) have got no clue whatsoever about what to do. But because they are 50 and i am 44 (with my bard) they wont listen to me giving them subtle hints about what they are doing wrong. But anyway, i digressed slightly (bit annoyed atm
) Why i think all lvl 50 bards must be bald. The amount of times i am playing my bard and the following happens.
1. Speed up to amg through trees on right. 1-2fg albs standing in doorway gathering to move off, i sprint + spd 5 out into mez range giving them minimal time to split up once they see me, begin ae mez, ae lull, mez lands and woot, got em all. Great, we're gonna win i think but.... Grp rushes in and immediately start beatin on the mezzed people often picking a different one each. wtf?!? Then a third fg of albs on other side rushes through with now this extra one fg and half of the original albs now running about mez resistant i try to mez but inevitably i end up with one or 2 tanks or even some mages/infis on me and i can't do anything else. Grp dies screaming "MEZ FFS!!!" and i get blame for the loss.
<begins to tear at hair>
2. Same as before, mez a grp etc. then purple wig things appear on their head (sometimes before i mez but both have same effect) now have a mez resistant grp running about. Good job mr ment, again i get the blame for grp death because i didn't mez them.
<Starts coming away with big clumps of hair>
3. same as 2 but with aoe, least with this i can start screaming "who aoed ffs??!?" and don't get the full blame. I'm pretty sure tho that the grp would still prefer it if i did. <big piles of hair are starting to accumulate at my feet>
4. Similar to previous again, but this time with pbaoe (<gasp> pbaoers can do wrong? surely not?) You mez a grp who started to break, so all are not too close together. Mr l33t pbaoer then rushin in to "pwn" this whole grp, pbaoes, perhaps kills one damages badly another one or 2 but rest due to being spread out take little damage and are now running about mez resistan. Good job, how i bow to your l33t skill. Oh, and did i mention i get blamed for not mezzing the ones running about?
<blood is trickling down side of head as clumps of scalp are getting torn off>
5. Stand around after a fight (you actually won because noone buggered up, <shock>) spamming stick please as everyone struts about gloating at their victory, a few sensible people will stick but you always seem to get one or 2. You spam some more, stick please we have to move, still one or 2 wont stick. Then the grps guided by the dead arrive and gank you. Some smart alec says to you, i think we should have moved as soon as we killed. Well...duh!!
<stops tearing hair out...because he has none left>
There, why i think all lvl 50 bards must be bald.
DISCLAIMER Most of the above has been greatly (or perhaps slightly
) exagerated.
