I met a person ingame a couple of days ago whom seemed a bit down at the time and being the kind chap I was, I asked what was the matter. Several days later the person in question opened their heart up to me and said the following:

I'm a pre-op transsexual (wanting to be a female - male currently) who currently behaves as a girl ingame (and I assume out of game).

Originally, I thought the person in question was perhaps camp or gay and I was fine with that. But now I find out (s)he is a pre-op transsexual I can't help but felt slightly uneasy, esp. if he behaves in a girl way towards me as at the end of the day, he has a pair of testicles on him and a wang!

The other day he was talking about dressing people up in pink clothes & doing their hair & that just made me shiver a bit.

Would you too be a bit uneasy in these kinds of situations? ;d

P.S - the title was all I could think of! :d

no but then 4 years of uni will have you accepting everyone from the emo girl to the campest guy in town who walks around wanking.

its probably normal for someone in your position to feel like that. youve only just left college and the types of people you meet are usually narrow and conforming.

I'd most likely play along and flirt with "her" like we do around this forum. You know, "i want some manlove from TdC" etc.

All are on the same playing field with me, if you act like an a-hole(or some such), you get dropped down a notch.

For instance; after you say that, while i can udnerstand how a young guy like you would feel that way, you drop a smidge below the guy you're talking about(if you started on the same line).

So to answer the question; no, wouldn't feel uneasy at all.

I don't think you two are understanding my p.o.v. (which is my fault as I didn't explain it well enough).

I am socially ranged enough to be comfortable around lots of different people. I just do not think it is natural & that aspect of it makes me shiver a bit.

As for falling down your hierarchy Toht - trust me, I will still sleep sound ^^.

On the internet, no problem.

In real life? Well, on the condition that I had to hang around with that person a lot (i.e. work or something) then I'd start out feeling awkward, then feel fine after I'd got used to the unusual situation.

I'd pretend I was perfectly OK with everything, until I was :)

It wasn't meant as an insult or something you'd mull over, it was an example on how my scale on people works.

I understand your p.o.v., it makes you uncomfortable. It doesn't make me, i could hit the town with a pre-op drag queen for all i care :p

Behind the safety of the internetz and a monitor? Hell no!

Not that I wish to 'topper' your story, but I worked beside a man who was a good 6'5", who was married to a woman, but he was a pre-op transvestie/transexual. I understand that he had to live as a woman for a while, and as such went to the ladies toilets at work (penis and all), dressed as a woman, spoke in a freaky high pitched voice like a woman.

Now, he didn't look like any ordinary woman, he was as gothy / emo as you could possible imagine. He looked a cross between the Mona Lisa and Marilyn Manson. He blogged his experience online and wrote about his penis removal.

Now that made me uneasy, particularly when trying to maintain a professional relationship.

What's "natural"? Philosophers haven't been able to figure that one out for the past few thousand years.

Personally, I think they may simply be fucked up little puppies, but what do I know?

However, if you want to cut your own dick off and pretend you're a woman, knock yourself out. I've more important things to worry about myself. ID cards being one of them. I don't think it's "natural" that people give away their freedoms so easily and it's a situation I find far more disturbing...

Just becasue something is unnatural doesn't mean there is anything wrong with it. I know that's not really what you were implying but some people do seem to throw that argument around a lot.
I think I would find it strange at first, but that's only because I've never met anyone like that, I reckon I would get over it though.

In my own personal opinion, I don't understand why someone would want to have their testicles and penis removed.

Yes, I know they want to be a woman, but should we be sending them for surgery or a psychologist?

not on the NHS imo. the NHS should be there to save lives and treat injuries/illnesses etc only. maybe if we stopped giving liposuction and chopping peoples cocks off cos they dont like their body, we might be able to get a few more life saving drugs out there.

Quite.

It's not just about cutting your dick off, it's a transofrmation from man to woman.

If done correctly and with a long time period, and not just in a garage in mexico, the results are quite good too. They can actually reconstruct female genitalia. Drugs and hormone treatments then handle the rest, making the transformation to a high %. Possibly in the future they can even develop a method for the rest, breeding and all that. They are advancing in any case, all the time.

Changing your weewee into a poonanny is no different from breast implants, facial sirgery or dying your hair. It's just a larger operation.

I'd like to ask though; If there were two women, one ex-man and one regular off the mill female, and the transformation showed no signs and you just couldn't tell the difference, where would the problem lay?

I knew a post-op transsexual once; "she" was actually quite a good conversion job, didn't look like a brickie in a dress or anything. Anyway, because she was quite upfront about it, it didn't bother me at all, although once when drunk she went into very graphic detail about how the operation worked, and how you had to clean everything "down there" several times a day because there were no female lubrication mechanisms and everything could get really smelly if you weren't careful. That I didn't want to know.

Yes, it makes me uncomfortable.

Example #1 is when I was working in a medical diagnostics lab. We were being surveyed for what we wanted the proposed new test/results control system to do. The chief programmer from the Los Angeles office flew over and we were warned in stern tones not to make a big deal.

She was a pre-op transexual.
Unfortunately, s/he looked like a 35 yr old Ronnie Barker in drag. It was very difficult to hold a professional conversation when you're looking at a bloke that wants to be called Christine.

Example #2 is when someone I'd always known as a bloke came out and said that they felt they were in the wrong body. He asked everyone to be honest and everyone said "Yeah, no problems" and other positive things. I was the only person who was absolutely honest and said "It'll be hard for me to rearrange my view of you in my mind. You're still the same person but I'm not comfortable calling you 'she' or 'her'".
He thanked me for being honest because everyone else had lied to him. He was later seen in a dress and was laughed at. He left the community after that.

I disprove of people seeking to have "The Op" on the NHS. Fine if you want to pay for it, not good if you try to get the public to pay for it.

I have yet to see a "gender reassignment" operation that is totally convincing. Many of the "after" pictures that I've seen have something that gives them away... the most typical being an oversized clitoris.

Bit of a headfuck, but think of them this way: gay men who want to be with straight men.

I've had to deal with this situation quite recently as my uncle has recently (within the last 12months) had a sex change. Its hit my dad (his brother) and my grandparents pretty hard. My dad has now come round to it all and will go along for meals every now and then etc. However when it comes to my grandparents although they haven't disowned 'her' they find it incredibly difficult to call 'her' by her new name of Christina. It was a bit odd at first however after a while you accept it and carry on.

i wouldnt say that. first year of uni i lived with a gay guy who on more than 1 occasion tried to stick his tongue down my throat, which i must say tainted my view on living with gays in the future. Although he is a ****, and i know the other 99.9% of gay people probably aren't.

I dont know what was funnier. The truth comming out or all the horny teenagers who believed the picture and gave him cash.

the picture was so unbelievable i can't believe people fell for that

Its basically how he got groups to level 50 "hawt female lfg, pics available" It worked brilliantly. All the sweaty little geeks fell over themselves to level her/him

Nice guy though ::)
