I have a level 33 Scout, and I decided to try out the Hunter on another server.
Man, are they different. I love their spells.
I love sending off my companion against my enemy, take out the bow and fire away.
Should my pet die, I'll just resummon one (I usually make sure the 120 timer has passed).
The Dex/Quickness buff is a great addition, especially for kobolds who will get their bow speed reduced fast at a low level (Haven't actually made a Kobold hunter, but since my briton got her longbow reduced by 1 second at 90 Quickness, I assume that goes for every archer, maybe not since the Composite Bow is rather slow).
Haven't tried the Ranger yet, but from this current point of view, the Scout is dull. Very dull. Their shield doesn't really make up for it in the funfactor, which is mostly what I care for.
Wandering around with a wolfhead or a featherhat is neat.
