When i used to be in bg1 with my hunter i didnt bother with bc think i took summit like 21 bow 16 spear rest stealth mind u that was a long time ago.Check out one of the char creators on the web and see what u can come up with.High stealth in bg1 with hunter is so nice only real trouble i had in bg1 with bigred was ns's ( fast little attacking buggers ) but that was pre-buff bots in thid.

21 bow (good enough imho)
16 spear (spear chain is damn handy)
16 stealth(+5 = 21, not the best in the world but it keeps you hidden from the en masse of albs out there)
13 BC ( i wanted the blue pet, very usefull)

this spec worked well for me, though i am capped on all resists str,con,dex, +5 all

grab yourself a spear of elements too, a nice thid spear and a lot cheaper than a leg weap

better order 2 99% crafted (slash/thrust) then and put 20lvl proc on them
...if you goldless totally - Njessy spear for you - MP and for free
I preffer 19+5 stealth, at least 18+5.8
5 ponts of stealth it's 250! more range in what casuals can see you..it's alot

Gimped? maybe, but the weaponskill is nice

Yeah totally gimped, you might as well drop your sword into the river when you realise you can be seen in stealth from 10 metres .

best spec is NO BC!

24 Bow, 19 spear rest stealth *i use this and found no need for bc*
24 bow gives last crit shot

I had 2 stealth with my hunter in bg1...rest was in bg, bow and spear. Got totaly jumped by infils and other things, but whooped em totally with my weapon skill and SC armor ^^
