Hunter Spec

ok as i see it i can choose between 3 speccs. As it is now im 35 stealth, 50 sword, 45 bow, 8 bc but i miss the dog so im respeccing

im a rr5 hunter so +15 to stealth etc


i can either go

35 Stealth
32 Beastcraft
30 Bow
50 Sword

or

35 Stealth
32 Beastcraft
40 bow
44 Sword

or

32 Stealth
32 Beastcraft
35 Bow (Rapid fire 1)
50 Sword

lol sword.. why would you in the devils want sword for battler ?... imho spear > sword (growth rate dmg etc).. as a hunter i dont think ure gonna be getting raganork off much but being sword if u dont get raganork then theres no point going sword (also u miss the rear melee stun spear has).. so i imagine ure gonna go for raganork...

secondly u want 32 bc.. now by going 50 wpn it would be advisable to go maybe 20 bc? for the second highest pet... also u want to go high stealth... dont go less then 40 bow imho

so rlly gimp ure stealth and get the blue pet or just go for a green pet imho ^^

I think someone has seen the vid with a hunter using heat leg sword kicking some ass? tbh 2h(str based) as a stealther isnt viable cause of the high evade rate against it.. but it could be lotsa fun

Right now my RR5 hunter is 50 spear/50 bow. I'd recommend getting high bow but not the weapon skill. Sure I miss a lot less (previously I was 39 spear) but there's not a lot of damage improvement. It'll probably be the same for sword so unless there's a style high up that you really really want stick those points elsewhere.

Just my 2 cents, I retired my hunter about 6 months ago from rvr so not sure how things are after TOA and if you need that extra weapon skill.

aye thats whay inspired me and its not that bad with sword tbh i like it so i will stick to it for a while, and im not gimping my char by going sword cause i think its more fun then spear and its only my opinion that matters in the end

and with some luck as u need as a spear hunter to i can take a infil im melee

problem is that sword line holds (after block/parry/evade) styles at lower sword spec, which basically the hunter has no chance of that happening. if the hunter could carry a small shield then i guess you could spec up MoB a lil like alpha did and use the sword after block stun style, but sadly u cant. 20 bc for the green con pet + lil extra run buff is enough tbh, 41 in bow will give some damage atleast. When u start lowering your stealth your going to get dicked on via Stealth lore (even more so).

gl sweet hunter, u will need it /cheer for the non fotm though

Hunters with sword spec are quite infil friendly....
Two things that make the hunter quite strong are its Pet/Bc speed shout and the spear. Spear hits pretty hard...so its a bit of a waste not to make use of it , Anyway if u want to keep sword go for this...u will hardly every land ragnarok anyway...atleast if ur solo... :touch: so the amount of points for 50 sword are a bit of a waste then.... so i'd recommend :


35 Stealth
32 Beastcraft
40 bow
44 Sword

im using 2 diffirent legendary swords 1 heat for infils/ns and 1 cold for everything else, and aye its str based but think im going for battler in my final template

Might be worth getting 50 bow soon

imo hunter should go 50 bow and go for spear as secondary skill then stealth and last bc. A hunters maindamage is from the bow so use it or loose it imo.

Norse SB is a much better class to use 50 sword on then a hunter anyway.

hunters got the crappiest evaderate even when buffed so u better think again b4 choosing to specc 50 weapon before bow.

39 Spear (Back style stun = uber when duoing)
32 BC (for the uber pet and "Call of the Hounds")
27 +11(SC) + 6(rr) = 44 Stealth (44 stealth is no problem for me if I duo imo)

I'm always loosing to infils.. but what can a hunter do?
Not RvR:ing with her before she got her new TOA sc ready.. I'm only attending keep takes etc so I can volley

And doing ok at times, Close combat with assasins mostly results in death but then again I try to stay away from them as it aint really those I like to hit

But it all comes down to what kind of play style you like, i guess.

Remember that lvl 20 pet will interrupt casters and archers too and he will follow stealthed infils same as lvl 40 pet. the low speed of BC is not so bad so I think that spend all those points to get a blue dogy... ahh ofc use spear plz... I'd recommen (for high rr hunters):
