Apparantly an illegal food dye called Sudan 1 has been used in a recent batch of food products. This dye has caused cancer in animals before and thats why its illegal to use.

Whats suprised me is given that it was a Worcester sauce that was contaminated how widely used it was.... seems like the staple ingrediant to most store branded ready meals is some Worcester sauce.

Its just another scare story. They were grilling some woman from the food safety agency this morning, Fiona (I think thats her name) couldn't seem to comprehend the fact that the agency can't possibly test every single food on the shelves.
