why all the fuss anyhow? I'm not so sure it's a great thing for the publishers to do, won't they want to sell their game to as many people as possible rather than limiting it to certain stores if it's _all that_ ?
I think it's obviously good for Game 'cos all those people who want to play Eve straight away will have to run to Game to buy it in the first month.
But I can't really understand what the benifit is for the publisher? Have Game agreed to do lots of promotion for the game in return or something?
I think Eve 'looks' great - if scarily too much like an alternative to real life. I'd want to see some previews/reviews before I parted with £30 + £10/month!
I'm currently in the beta and thanks to the NDA being lifted I can tell you this game is not for everyone. It's beautiful and very easy to play, but it could get very boring for someone that doesn't like getting involved with other people.
Also, I believe that GAME did the exclusive thing before. With DAoC if I remember rightly.
