Did someone of you guys here at barrys make one? i remember that someone here did but im not sure. If you made one where can i find it??. My work has banned all the fun shait like mirc, icq, q2 (online). I mailed the admin and he wont open a port for me so the only way is to use a http-tunneler.

Oooh er my first post on Barrys - I'm a regular WP lamer

I'm on a ja.net con behind a www proxy and DESPERATELY need to play q3 - is there a HTTP tunnel that will work? HTTP-Tunneller (aka ICQ Proxy) doesn't work with q3.....

someone please help!

50sQuiff: I'm afraid your screwed. Most Univerisities (including my own - Bristol) started throttling non-proxied connections a year or so ago, and i've yet to see a Q3 proxy that is capable of defeating it. In my case, it was so devastating that i now activly avoid anything labelled as a 'student service', regardless of cost.

I had the same prob quiff. Lovely JANET conn and was fuxxed and had to use modem.

bah - looks like I'll have to start playing on the modem.... but the phone charges with NTL here at Nottingham are bloody stupid - I can't use 0800 and I can't really afford a phone bill! This is getting serious now Someone needs to write a HTTP Tunnel for Quake 3....
