well, once again we are closer than ever. found a newspaper article here that talks about research done by several companies and uni's in america that actually allows a test subject to play good old pong via a brain-to-computer interface. very cool stuff indeed, and the potential is mind boggling to say the least (pr0n springs to my mind, but then I am male, and single heh) but how about paralised ones being able to use computers and machines once more? a movable wheelchair? an exo-skeleton perhaps? planes, trains and automobiles? games? I can only say carry on the good work lads.

In a few years we will have control rooms filled with pilots in comfy chairs flying planes

They are probably already working on AI programs that would be able to fly fighter jets better than anyone's brain ever could. The military is going to be robot wars in 20-30 years time.

"Ukrainian Handshake". I like that phrase.

I think technology like this has been long coming. It's just another step up from the missle locking systems that track the pilots eyes to tell what he's loooking at and where th emissile should go.

I think they even used those eye tracking doobries on a dating show recently to show how men and women react to certain members of the opposite sex.
