anyone heard of this guy? International drug smuggler who didn't use guns or anything and got busted and ended up in some really notorious prison. Anyway, the bar down the road from HQ is doing an audience with him in May and I thought I'd pop along , his biog is really popular at the library and he seems a very entertaining person to go listen to for a while.

well I went last night to see him and can thoroughly recommend going if he ever does a talk near you. The guy is just so damned entertaining and really just like a normal bloke (who has lead an amazingly abnormal life) just chatting, he doesn't get shitty when peoples phones ring or they drop glasses, just carries on and some of the stuff he comes up with omg hehe.

You don't have to be a stoner to appreciate it either, I mean I don't touch the stuff but still found his talk really interesting, amazing and funny (one of my neighbours who came with me, she is a stoner and she was almost dying lol). Oh and at the end he showed the trailer for the new biopic movie about his life with him played by Rhys Iffans and yep he does look the part but after seeing this guy irl the movie version just looked way too sensationalised so I doubt if I'll be watching it but I think I will keep an eye out for his books.
