how to handle the "useful links" thread

I think, personally, I'd say either of the following:
either leave all the replies as they are, but copy all of the links (removing duplicates etc) into the first post
OR
just leave all the posts as they are, and prune out any irrelevant replies, either into a separate discussion post, or just nuke em.
The reason I say this is either of those would leave it clear still who has contributed the posts, so that the correct person is credited. Just my view on it anyway.
