How to get to US-servers ?

Hi, i asked before in another thread, but peeps had to argue there, no time for answering me

Problem is, i really want to play on an US-shard, but when i start my DAOC, only european servers are listed. Now i heared from a guy from germany, he plays on us-shards...but i didnt met him since then to ask how he did this heh.

-u will need a valid cd-key or an account there.
-u can play on any us account u have the pass for, u don't need a cdkey for that.
-if u don't have an account and need to make one, u will need a cdkey aswell ( meaning, that u will have to buy one from ebay or get a copy in the strores)



What you have to do, once you have a valid cd-key is copy your CAMELOT
game directory to a new one, say CAMELOT-US. Then you need to replace
the european UPDATE.DAT file with this one:

Then run the CAMELOT.EXE in the new folder. It will connect to the US patch server,
validate your new cd-key, and patch your european version of DAOC to the current
american one (was about a 24MB download when i did it a couple of days ago).
Then you can create an account with Mythic using the american version of the
DAOC launcher, assuming the cd-key has never been used.
As long as you keep the US and EURO versions in separate directories you can
switch back and forth whenever you like.


option1: u don't have a cdkey, or an account ---> go buy a new copy (or an cheap account from ebay)
option2: u got a valid cdkey, no account ---> u can follow the above procedure.
option3: u got an account, but no cdkey ---> just leave the cdkey box blank, u will be able to connect and play on that us-account.
option4: u got a cdkey and an account --> YIPIE !
