I moved to a new address. Before I moved I ordered adsl thru btopenworld since they now do it by DD. I arrived at my new address to find my shiny new voyager dsl modem and my phone line connected. Installed everyhing (really easy if you do it manually) then tried to connect.

the daft buggers have only enabled adsl on my old phone line. I have been sitting here patiently since 6pm waiting for 8 am so i can give em a roasting

LOL BT are so dumb that way i have had so much problems with dem BTches
i have had ADSL in three apartments i have moved in to
1st was with homechoice for £20 a month on a crappy 150kbs dsl with streaming TV ok for games but kinda lame choice if your after a Quick download speed
2nd BT openworld BB 512k \o/ or was it.
HA HA HA the 2nd install took over 2 months to get working after the enginer took a look at my flat then desided to install the little box and leave i told the guy my pc was in the end room this was nextdoor to the phone box he gave me the wires and said to do that you will need to install it yourself (HUH this is the install some git comes and switchs my box)
thats out of order i guess but hey after calling BT day in day out trying to get the damn COnection up n running i get a free install and 2 free months :) seening i havent had the line for the first two months anyways it seems i still come up screwed over again
no worries after a few months of seemless internet my landlord desides its time to evict the tennants due to my contract or lack of i cant argue so i move out 7 months though my ADSL contract due to my service beeing good for me i ask BT if they can switch over my ADSL to my new address (Sorry but you will need to pay for the rest of the year aswell as pay for a new install and new rental )
it goes on
3rd install BT open world again i had been in my new HOUSE for about 4 weeks when they installed Good quick and done to how i wanted it \o/ looks like they did it Right this time. :twak: well now i have a load of dept with BT due to there Open world doing a screw up on my line and so on oh well this is the sorry state of Big componys these days

Go on then.

As a follow up, I now have BT broadband. I only found out after having my sky reinstalled that I could have had NTL cable and broadband

Unfortunatly because of where I live I am unable to get NTL so BT Broadband was my only option when I upgraded, after checking the terms and conditions tho I think you'll find the only way to get out of it in the first year is if u actually die :/
