Hi guys

Im really interested in playing DOAC instead of my current MMORPG and I was wondering what is the size of the downloads to update the version I buy out the shops?

Is it massive in size?

Also how big a concern is lag on the UK servers as the other game I was in was ruined for me with lag

Cheers

Think the total size of the patches are around 27 MB. As for the lag, it's normally fine, been spiking alot lately though.

Retail is actually version 1.36; we're currently running 1.49.

Under an hour

Its not too bad - took me 40 mins to patch using half my ISDN line (was using other half of the line on my other PC to surf :p ).

That was a few weeks ago though. With the latest patch (which is fairly hefty cos of Darkness Falls dungeon) I'd expect full download to be about an hour for me.

Dunno what it would be like with dial-up though :(

Connections are weird - my 128k ISDN at home here in the Channel Islands is usually slower downloading stuff than on a 56k modem when I'm at college in Yorkshire. I guess its that damn cable across the channel :(

Of course we don't have the option of broadband here /sigh
