I'm surprised the McAffee lot don't get sued more often for their program's frequent misinformation resulting in system b0rkage. Bastards, the lot of 'em.

It's not lies, you can't even boot XP up after installing PGP, a fairly popular and useful program.

Such a fantastic OS, isn't it.

I'm told that the basic functions of PGP 6.5.x and 7.x versions appear to work properly in Windows XP, if the PGPnet component is not installed. There are problems with the PGPdisk drive not appearing in Windows Explorer, and there are problems with the Outlook and Outlook Express plugins and their expected PGP buttons (icons) on the tool bars. At least one person reports not being able to install PGP 7.0.x to an NTFS partition.

I've had no problems with PGP 7.0.something on XP Pro here.
