How long will ppl keep playing this game?

Just curious how long ppl will keep playing this game, weeks, months, years?

Is it worth to exp to level 50, crafting to 1000+ spending hundreds of hours in this virtual world?

Offcourse there are coming new patches with new lands and dungeons, maybe a PvP server and maybe a RP server but will this be enough to keep ppl staying at this game?

Is it worth? I'm not playing this game to "achive" something, like level 50 and 1000 crafting. I'm playing it to have fun, and will continue to do so until its not fun. How long that'll be is left to see. I'd say I'll be around at least 'til christmas, can't see myself quitting anytime soon.

Mm, untill SWG is here (going to try it, if its bad, I'll stick to DAoC) - else DAoC is the only game, except Counter-Strike I'm playing, and will keep playing.
Don't see games as something you have to spend all your time on, its not work (etc: you _HAVE_ to play it, every single day) gaming is a hobby, play it in your sparetime, and dont use all your sparetime on it

Gaming should be fun, not a burden.

Daoc is a wide experience imo, there is PvE, which tend to be pretty damn boring after a while, then there is RvR, which also tend to be boring after a while with one specifik class i think, i havent reached that point yet
But if that day comes, I'll lvl up one more to RvR with.
And finally, all the people which i think make this game worth playing. I have met a great deal of nice ppl since betadays and still meet more of them
the day when all the utter morons that does nothing but whine move away to another game, Daoc will prolly be even better i think. I look forward to the patches and changes they bring, and i hope mythic keep on going for a looong while. One really important thing i hope we wíll see more of is Events run by Goa, these make the ordinary day of xping or RvRing to a day full of curiosity and fun, they have started to bring in more and more lately and I <bow> for that, hope it doesnt slow down

As you can see, i truly like this game, and will prolly keep on playing a very long time. either in Albion, or in Hib, <shrugs> and perhaps in Mid again.

Well i will play as long as i will play. When i tend to get bored, i usually go to some way to high lvl place and pull mobs and running around for a good laugh...

liste, i know, but mid actually is a quite fun realm to play, i really enjoyed the time in Muspel especially, too bad u need some drugs after a while, to keep the mood up, since I find Mid's music and gloomy landscapes pretty depressing

Zarff, I am an Alb in my heart, i just LOVE a shining platearmor! And the hole thing circling around Arthurian legends has faschinated me since i was a little boy, anyone seen the movie Excalibur? or Ivanhoe?

btw, a good readingtip is a book written by Robert Shea named "Flamman och Svärdet" (swe title) I think the english title is "All Things Are Lights". If you are into medieval history and enjoy tales of honour and bravery, read it. This is what Alb is all about imo.

Having been without a net connection for over a month I've now lost most enthusiasm I had for the game. Since I got my ADSL connection on Tuesday I've hardly touched it. I dunno, it just kinda bores me now... and that's with a level 50 shadowblade, and a level 25 healer.

Dunno if I'll be playing much longer to tell u the truth - roll on SWG.

Still got Hib and Mid realms to see yet , played in alb all the time , only spent about 4 hrs in hib so far ( and thats not in rvr )
