Hows BG1 on pryd these days? Has it got any better for hibs yet or is it still the alb zerg playground (as in full of TK camping juveniles).

the alb zerg playground...

It's still all the same, silly Albs just like to 'pWNz0r' a single Hib/Mid with 3+ full groups... who doesn't? :-/

Bgs are really fun if you "think" for yourself and not just port in, join zerg & die, release, port in, join zerg, etc...

It's a pity that most people going to BG just don't know why they are there or what they are doing. I mean, as soon as you move with more than 1fg, you just don't matter. You are just another lemmings giving some damage, barely knowing why he dies at some point.

You guys should try to just go alone or with little groups, always on the move. Stop camping silly mpk or mb and discover that there are lots of interesting places to fight at.
By zerging all the time, you kill the interest of BG, since not a lot of people are interested in zergs and not all realms can put up 3 or 4fgs in the BG all the time.

Do yourself a favor, enjoy the BG, think for yourself :)

Dil used to spend 90% of his time stood on the Mid bridge listening to the cries of Albs dying to Masters of Runes as they spent their day getting too close whilst camping the PK.

I then spend the other 10% of the time ignoring the shouts of "REZ ME FFS N00B!!!" from people dead outside the MPK gates, or under a bridge.

Warning: Clerics are a much underappreciated class in the BGs. If you are of a sensitive nature, don't go there. You are in demand everywhere and no-one wants to keep you alive with a little cover during your rezzes. On top of that, you earn no RPs from the rezzes, as most people out there have died 20-30 times in the last couple of hours anyways...

Was a general statement. Bit weird to hear players complain about a place created for fun only :)

Oh, and while around, question:
Why Thidranki is the most famous battleground while the others are pretty much deserted? Just because it's faster to level to 20-24? Or just because nobody go there, so you don't go either? What would make you go there more once you cap out of Thidranki?

Well mainly around because noone goes to BG 2 or BG3,was hunting on BG2 with my light eld a while ago and didint see anyone on about 3 hours

And it's also faster to level to 24 than around 30 :)

Edit: Can i complain about necros too? please :D

well, its easy to level to level 24.
More importantly, you're guaranteed to find people in thidranki, no matter what time.
It simply takes too long to level to 29 or the second bg, and the rewards are not that much better. You still get your cheap non emain thrill, just took you longer to get it.

What would make me level to 29 to go to the next bg? Faster experience is probably the easiest answer. Or maybe an expericene bonus once you cap out from thidranki - most people level to 24 and then they never xp again. Now that you get xp for kills (not much, but still), most players have 2-4 busb when they cap out at 350, or whatever.
Make it so that you ding once you cap, and you'll have loads more people there.

Its a real shame - the other BG's are waaaay better than thidranki once you go there (well, if there are others there aswell). Maybe you could make the CK's count towards something, especially if you claim it? Maybe killing the lord gets you a hige wad of xp or something? Maybe a unique item?

Gabrial, they're implementing one of those suggestions in a later patch.
1.60 I think it is, where there will be a quest for each BG where you can get a big sum of xp from participating in a successful raid on the central keep :)
I have a certain feeling that quest will bring life to the two higher BGs.
Same patch will see a BG0 (by current reckoning), a BG for lvl 15-19 (I think).

The trend in Thid nowadays is to not group at all, so people don't cap so quickly, i notice.

When Redi was younger, he started hating Thidranki, but it was an education in the warfare tactics for a merc and by the time i levelled out of it, i had worked out the best ways to approach types of enemy, places to hide, places to show myself as bait etc. If i hadnt suffered as much as that in the first few weeks, i doubt i'd have got to RR2 by my 38th season.

Murdagien and Caledonia are deserted to the point where i claimed Caledonia as Caer Redi and myself and Radi spent weeks arranging a keep taking group, rams and support - took the keep with no hassle whatsoever, no defenders came to even look <shrugs> seems no one cares, as they are spending time either levelling to get to "real" RvR, or just heading out to the frontier anyways, in groups.

I personally like the actual BGs, but unfortunately the people who go there are mainly stealthers or other classes that have no desire to work as a team at any time, often leaving casters and other support classes at the CK or one of the bridges to wait for the PK campers to either die, or back off to recover, which is rare.

It's one for all, and screw the rest sadly...

<Dil was just killed by 10 SBs>
Annoying infil says "FFS! I ASKED YOU FOR A REZ LIKE 10 TIMES!"
Dil says "aye, the whole chat group saw it, mixed in with those other 40 rez requests"
Annoying infil says "FFS, STFU NOOB!"
Dil says "ok, thanks for the constructive critisicm, bye then..."

at this situation st is only class what you can solo and have fun.

dont believe that st dont support :) so many time try kill caster who was little too much behind main group, only looking around when infs pop out from st.

usually if there is mids and having somekind mainforce,
try look around stealthed, but give up if only road what this force know is from mpk to mb, release, mpk to mb, release.
many time offer different strategies and once! people follow my advice, and it was succes :) but we had good cc at that moment.

run from mpk to waterline, not road!, near waterline to mb, only cc move near mb, st around cc,
he/she mezz/stunn alb/hibs (depends who have ck) because they are looking road from mpk and not waite this kind move.
mainforce come and gank them.
simply and easy to follow but no! road it is. :)

err... <scratches head> bit lost for words now really... :eek7:

I see the bit about knowing only one route though - fair point ( i think) it's always good to avoid the road, but most people avoid the road unless they have plenty of others around them...

Kemor , Not sure what u mean for fun only , surely the whole game is meant for fun only? but in my experience in Thid a while back it really wasnt any fun in bg because there simply wasnt enough mids and hibs to make it a decent battle. You can have the best cc and stealth avaialble but ultimately it boils down to numbers and hib pryd just doesnt have enough for a non stealther to have any chance.
Bearing in mind the answers in this post i think ill just bypass bg1 altogether. Didnt help that it seems to attract the jump in the bridge cheaters either.

My cleric had a blast in thid, no idea how things are now, cba to lvl another char in alb. As for bg3 its a damn shame noone uses them here, i mean my excal sb at 35 was rr2 with aug dex2 mop2 dr1 and 1 rsp left. You know how much that helps in xping after?

played in bg1 for first time today , an while it was fun it as just running about with 100s of other albs ganking wot ever we saw, the mids tried with what they could ( i commend your perservearence :p) they couldnt match the number of albs and at the one time when they managed to field enuff to have a fair fight i dare say they could of won if they kept up with the numbers just a shame that albion has such vast superiorty with numbers :/

Wel i give it 5 minutes in bg with my druid when i did a who and ther were a huge 7 people in thid although 3 stealthers, so got a grp of 5 together and no sooner did we step from htk we were zerged by literally 27 albs , yes i counted. No point in sitting for 8 minutes for a port just to have that.
I cant really offer a solution but tbh Bg's just a waste of time for hibs at moment.
