How is chance to crit calculated?

As subject really - I have mastery of pain 2 - which afaik gives 5% to crit per level - add that to my base 5% (or so I was told) chance to crit, I should have a maximum 15% to crit - is this right? I've been doing far too much PvE recently, and I'd say I crit about 40-50% of the time. Also how is the chance to crit calculated if you dual wield? Is it calculated per weapon so overall you will crit twice as much, or is the chance to crit calculated per round?

10% is base.

5% per lv of pain.

If you use 2 weapons then you get an advantage since that is 20% chance to crit on each weapon with mastery of pain 2, so that's the reason why any DW/CD/LA/H2H tank crits a lot with it.

Yes, it's very good for LA users since you always dual hit.

LA users always dual swing.

And yes, I'd strongly recommend MOPain for all dual-wield classes.

Oops yes, nerf late nights :p

As a zerk/inf/sb/merc/bm/nightshade i would definetly aim for dualist reflexes 3 and mastery of pain 3, or maybe even dualist reflexes 4.

Damage certainly raises by a noticeable amount with those.
