Can't connect to leechftp since I installed winME (replacing win95), gives error: 'Socket Error: No Connection'. Any suggestions, people? I suck at this kind of thing :/

Step 1: Slap yourself silly for installing such a pants OS.

Are you running a firewall of any description? Have you tried a different client/version?

Win2k was more expensive :/

No firewall or anything... I can't see why another client would work as this one functioned fine on the old OS. My guess is that the socket just needs to be enabled somehow.

heh, if the likes of me didn't then there's wouldn't be any windows for u lot to rip off :p

while we're on that note I bought two copies of XP and had one of my PC's lock out the other day claiming it needed re-activation - which meant calling Australia... yet none of the peeps I've hard with the *cough* devil$0\/\/n *cough* (legit ;)) ISO have ever had such problems...

oh the irony, I spend the money and have the problems and the little pir8 bastids get it all for nowt trouble free... grr!!

well, come SP1 u won't be laughing cos the *cough* corporate rip *cough* gets blacklisted and will need phone authentication once installed to get u back into windows, heh ;)

/me sits back and enjoys the idea of millions of people less online cos they didn't pay for their OS

that will be a day worth being online... internet traffic? what internet traffic? 90% of the users are offline reinstalling/calling m$

heh

Shat... nm, thx anyway.

I was wondering if closing Audiogalaxy would make it work... sound like a reasonable suggestion? I would test it out but some 56k'er is leeching an 8 megger off me. Got to have respect for those with quality music taste :)
