Do a staffbased SB like sum of the fools in US.

A kobie; +10 Dex, Qui and Con.

Then you go for CS, Env and Stealth only...

It works ok on Thidranki(staff is based on dex only in Mid) but in 50 its a catastrophy.

Wait Daz!

I was just talking shit. But seriously; your spec is shit too.
I played critblade to 400k and that is plain shit. And 5-speccs are to weak. Go for a shadowzerker; thats better.

And remember; L. Axe 39 at least for Frosty Gaze.

go shadowzerker for exping, stop LA at 39 and use respec to lower axe and raise CS at 40.

Jox is drunk atm, 5 specs aint too weak ;)

as u lvl keep axe and la high, soloing is far easier that way (low oranges = np)

Jox is prolly right tbh, SZ (44/44) will prolly rip through most classes end game ;p

Thats one of the reasons I think that you should autotrain stealth, then you get:
35 envenom (lifebane with +11 from items and RR5)
35 stealth
44 LA
44 axe
10 crit strike (stun those casters with BS II).

BlueJam, that would be some kind of Soulblade like:
21 Envenom
34 Crit Strike
44 Left Axe
34 Stealth
43 Axe
(that was my soulblade spec before I respecced, other people seem to want 39 Critical Strike to get stunning stab followup for Perforate Artery - Creeping Death).

BS1 sucks, afaik it doesn't pierce bladeturn, BS2 does. Thats all it's used for, BS2 also has a 2 second stun, which in the next patch will keep them in line for a Snowsqual then Icy Brilliance..which does lots of dmg :)

Remember that you need RR6 to get 50 envenom and 50 stealth then.

If you want to go for the first "hello" hit make a Critblade.

My spec:

44 CS
44 Sword
35 Envenom
35 Stealth

With items its easy to get CS to 50, Weapon must be not to hard to but i prever player crafted Weapons (thats why i start a Weaponcrafter) My stealth is close to 50 (iam lvl47 atm must be possible to make it to 50) with realm ranks envenom to 50 is an option to (lifebane) For zerkers it is easier to solo they say but still i prever to play Critblade.

I find 39/39 Axe (sword) / LA is too weak. (After Comeback, Frosty Gaze gets parried/blocked a lot of the time even with high skill/item bonuses.)
Can´t take down an infil and takes far too long to kill other classes.

For SZ, at least 44/44 on main weapons is a priority IMO (50/50 returns only marginal extra damage)

You also want crafted weapons for this spec at the top end to greatly increase dmg output.
As a Critblade, the dmg cap seems to be slighty higher with the DF Infernal Soul Blade than a crafted 2H. (I´d be glad for someone to prove me wrong on this one though!) ;)

As for CS v Envenom... as a SZ I prefer CS over Env, but both have their good points. Kinda depends on the style you think will suit you best really - Setting up a PA or starting with a BS which is a lot easier i find. (AFAIK BS1 should break BT, but the low stun
(3 secs?) gives an obvious benefit.

Both are a lot of fun to play, but the mentality is quite different.

SZ 44/44 and Pure crit are the only templates I´d personally recommend, again, with either high env or CS on the SZ depending on your choice of upfront dmg or a background DOT.

Hope this helps and good luck. :)

ps. I would like to see PA work from behind as well as in front of a target. :)

My spec is 34cs/39la/39axe/36stealth/29envenom.
I would dispute that bit about being unable to drop infs. Met several lvl50 unbuffed ones over last 2 weeks or so ( i know, i know...they do exist), managed to kill em okay in straight melee, none however got df off on me. Saving up for purge :)
I like having the 5 spec option, more versatile, and imo more fun.
Gives me the chance to pa/cd for stun or comeback/frosty stun in straight fight, and I've managed to land it fairly regularly as well.

with the patch 1.56 in mente, I would go for either a crit blade or 5 spec. - SZ will have a harder time in RvR due to loosing IP and capping evade at 50%. (something Crit.blades are pretty unafected by anyway)

For exp.ing I would say go SZ - they rock in PvE, but I don't think they are very good in RvR. - Most of their targets would be other assassins (due to them loosing IP), and it is much more fun popping mages :) (imo)
