I've given up on blizzard thingie. That port gets hit by about 40 scans from various sources as soon as I use the application.

I guess how you open it depends what is keeping it closed.
Do you have a router between your PC and the internet? Or a firewall?

There are several ways. But what i'm saying is Don't!
Blizzard have a filthy network atm, it;'s been hacked and shited on from a huge height. If you allow the port to be opened, then expect to be scanned 40-50 times per hour by hacked sites.

Blizzard are doing shaite atm, don't trust their networks

give it another few weeks, then try.

Ok...

Bittorrent doesn't allow any code to be executed, only pooled and downloaded, so there's no way anyone is going to 'h4x0r' your PC simply by opening the ports needed to download a torrent.

Let us know what kind of connection you have - modem + software firewall, router, or whatever and we'll show you how to open the necessary ports. Basically you need to open TCP 6881 at a minimum to enter onto a single torrent...
