how do i get rid of this message on the account screen?

my subscription has recently run out, when i sign up for another month is just says this red message and has done for over 36 hours now, within that time i have received a mail telling me there was a problem with the transaction altho i have money in the account?

the message is in red and says 'Unable to modify your subscription, An invoice is surrently in process'

can anyone help?
