how do i get 85hz refresh rate

how do i get 85hz refresh rate in half-life,couterstrike, i get it in all my other games please help me to get rid of flicker i only get 60hz even when i have set my refresh rate to 85hz under display settings. help

all the info you need there (nb. specific to nvidia chipsets - if you don't have an nvidia card then I dunno bout the opengl settings but the d3d info will still be valid).

thanks for replying i have tried most of above but i still cant get 85 refresh rate i get it in every other game,except half-life/couterstrike, is there nothing in the game itself i can change, and do you get 85 in the game . please let me know thanks.

Could it be something in your config files linked to FPS (fps_modem, fps_max etc.)?

Have you tried http://www.tweak3d.net 's scripts?

Hi, i was just wondering if it could be your monitor ... some monitors do 65Hz , some do 75Hz, some do 85Hz and mines does 100Hz ...
I was just wondering if it could be that m8 ...
