How do i create a non-dedicated TFC server THAT WORKS??

First off, yes i am stupid. Secondly, i am really having trouble creating a non-dedicated TFC server. After i have gone throuht all of the steps in the "Create Game" page and create a server, other people cant join. They say it says "Cannot Join Server" when they try to connect. I am running TFC, Verizon DSL, Zonalarm Firewall. Thanks

Just some basics:

You are doing

Multiplayer --> internet game --> create game


right?

dt : Zonealarm is an obvious candidate for blocking the incoming connection. Disable it and see if people can connect.

Disable zonealarm by going into it and swtiching off protection (I'm at work at the mo, so can't remember what it's called, it should be fairly obviously marked tho) or, if you can't find it, shut the whole package down (from the taskbar by right clicking on the icon) and boot it up again afterwards.

i have not got a clue what zonealarm is let alone disablling it, please can u tell me where 2 find it, dont know what icon u r on about either. please explain thanks

Tui was trying to help dt, who asked the original question and said he was running zonealarm. Zonealarm is a firewall and therefore might be blocking the incoming connections.

If you aren't running zonealarm, thats obviously not your problem.
