How did the relic move ?

Normally, we don't make a fuss when we ban people. It happens every week, and our process is so careful that we've rarely had to reverse a decision. It's hardly newsworthy when we permanently ban a hacker's account.

This week was unusual, and so we're making this unusual announcement. A new program (that allowed hackers an unprecedented ease of movement) made an appearance - and we caught a nice clump of people using it.

If you are using a program that allows you an unfair advantage over your fellow players, you will eventually be caught. The policy with hacking is one proven incident, one account banned

Cigies, these things are better left unexplained.. when the drag window exploit was explained here everyone and their dog started using it.

We should learn from that and never let it happen again, it fucks up the game for alot of people... Let's say someone found a way to jump to ground targets in an instant.. not gonna say how/why/with what and stuff ;x

Yes, this is what happened, teh X Y Z co-ords of your character are held by the client, it is possible to change the memory locations on your client where these are held to effectivly teleport you to another location. (The maps of the lands are stored on the client, there is very little validation done server side to ensure co-ords are correct)

Someone, teleported into the relic keep - picked up the relic and tried to leg it, I think he/she was killed by the realm guards after managing to get the relic outside the keep - from there someone must have picked it up and ran back to mid.

once the relic is outside the keep they can. anyone can grab it thats how the mids got it after the albs had picked it up i the first place
