why not give 3 to each nationality?

They don't have enough english players to make a third server valid. While i would like a place for my alts, a server full of underplayed alts does not a viable server make :)

Just look in the shops and see if you can find any DAOC copies on the shelves in the countries that would use the English servers heh. Small wonder eh? I had to drive 40km to get a copy in a shop.

hm...
i am german and playing on an english server...
is this a crime?
i dont know many germans playing here (at least 3 including me), but there are maybe more then i think, i dunno...

reasons for not playing on a german server:
i like the english language more then the german one...it just sounds...hm....cannot describe it, but makes a better athmosphere. kind of... seems to be strange, but i hate also the german translations of movies...they're crap!
and here i meet a lot of ppls from different countries, thats more interessting. and i increase my ability in speaking (typing to be precise) english :)

and also i cannot imagine that on a german server there would be such "freaks" as here who love this game as much as i do, hehe

and btw: i never ever put my towel on a chair in the morning in holidays

I know where you're coming from here... but in the other direction :)

Listen to the original Rammstein of 'Du hast' then listen to the (horrible) translated version.

I think the Dream Walkers guild on Hib/Excal is mainly comprised of germans.

We have two or three germans in our guild (Hib/Excal) and I am french. For me the english server by far the most fun in europe because I get to meet and play with so many people from different countries.

  well, bavaria isnt REALLY a part of germany

ok, in fact, it is of course...thats just a kind of insider joke in germany...bavaria has such strange ppls, you cant really count them as germans...although they are all over the world standing for the "typical" german with his leather-trousers, hats, eating their "brezels" and "sauerkraut", hihihi.

and its well known that if they would be possible they would split apart. but we need them because of their good economy :))))

and i hate towels on chairs...mmh although i dont spend my holidays in hotels.

There's a translated version.

I'm so glad I never heard that one ;-)

And I like singing along to Rammstein, And One, et al in clubs mainly because I haven't a clue what I'm singing ;-)

Try Manowars "Heart of Steel" translated to german and labeled "Herz aus Stahl". You will almost get a heart attack from laughing.
And yes, I am german too. And yes, I am from near Munich. And yes, I hope to leave this place soon, but if ever I leave the confines of this part of germany, I will be sure to bring Weißbier and -wurst wherever I go. :)

And to return to the topic: English servers are just more fun, cause you meet people from all over Europe and even the odd american or whatever. Also I really can't stand the way roleplaying works on a german server. Nobody talking even remotely normal. When I try doing role-play in english it somehow sounds far more down to earth and reasonable.
