How’s your alliance?

Hi fellow Hibernians

I’ve observed that the alliance my guild is part of has lost a lot of its former activity. There are hardly any alliance raids (be it PvE or RvR), neither organized nor ad hoc anymore. /as is often mute and if there is someone asking something there often is no answer. It seems most people’s activities are centered around a few friends and /as just doesn’t matter anymore.
So I wondered how other people experience their alliance.
What are your impressions? Does alliance matter to you? Is there any activity in your alliance? What kind? Is your /as the place to find a group? Do you get meaningful discussions about encounters, RvR activity, game mechanics over your /as? Is your alliance centered around many/few guilds? Does is suit any/one/few/many purposes?
Please let us gain some insight into different Hibernian alliances.

well, what alliance are you part of? =)

I can say that the TD alliance is imho rather active and there're often enough encounters announced. Also the alliance is "gardened", meaning new guilds come and dead guilds are removed, so no space is wasted =)
