Ok... simple facts:

Cottage = 1p
House = 10p
Villa = 40p

Atm I have 35p.

I want to know if... You got from a cottage -> House -> Villa. Will it cost 1p+10p+40p = 51p. or 10-1=9p + 40-10=30p = 39p?

Coz if it costs me 51P I just want to go straight from Cottage -> Villa. But if not I could do a small upgrade first.

(hope someone actually understands this)

used to be 1+10+40 but!

A few patches ago they changed it if you upgrade your house you get the old token back wich you can sell to a merchant for the full price. This dont work for guildhouses or if you want to downgrade.
thus now: 40p if you buy a 1p house and upgrade it later.

I can confirm, I upgraded my cottage into a house and got the 1p cottage token back.

If you upgrade a house you get the old deed back which you can sell back to the housing merchant.

If you downgrade your house, then you don't.
