Ouch Sucks to loose houses imo..
One time i paid full rend on my 10phouse, went away for a week, and when i came back someone else had acottage in my lot, goa said "we are sorry for the inconvenience bla bla bla(read my fao goa thread)":s so totally lame to loose houses, and also lame you can only pay 4 weeks of rent

That's why you should have a CM with a few plats on it.
My house is currently prepaid for the next 200 months

Always use /settle to withdraw money from your CM, leave one plat on it and your house will pe prepaid for about a year. Plenty of time to renew

yeah that works for peasants like you who live in mud shacks. But forus big boys who live in mansions, paying rent with actual gold is a stupid idea. BPs cannot be prepaid

Well, the original poster obviously only has a cottage, and he asked someone to pay 80 gold. So using a CM will pretty much be good enough for him.

On a sidenote, you could just go for 2 cottages: 2 vaults, 6 merchant spots, 2 tool hookpoints for 160g a month. And you'll get additional storage space on your 2 CMs and on your horsie saddlebags. Or go for 2 houses and get the same benefits as one mansion for 1.6P / month compared to 2P a week. (Actually you'll have 2 more merchant hookpoint and 1 more tool hookpoint)

Of course you'd need 2 accounts to do that, but I guess like 95% of the players got one.

Guess I'd prefer to be a "smart boy" rather than a "big boy"

Or you could be really smart and shout for 7 randoms noobies and form your own solo guild for one of your alts and have a guild cottage too... All 3 crafting tools and a crapload of merchants for 60 gp's a week
