The Objective : Kill Aidon the Archwizard several times (staying at the dungeon for roughly an hour) in order to get some nice caster staves.
The Requirements : To take him down without too much stress you really need 3fg of lvl 50's or as I'm planning on doing it, 4fg of 45+ players. Each time you kill him, he drops one staff. We will therefore stay to kill him once for each group attending (that'll be 4 times, then).
I should point out that this isn't an omgzuberitamz drop hunt. There are no 16.5dps 100/35 items on offer here. The staves are (to the best of my knowledge single 50-focus with a full-length glow. As stated before this is mainly a raid for people who want to do an interesting mob encounter, and that the spoils of it are mainly items that will appeal to people with glow fetishes. There are two other named mobs in the dungeon as well (the lesser guard named dont drop anything from what I can tell - there are lots of them); Lord Gildas and Lady Darra. I'm not sure what Gildas dropped, but last time I was there with an alb group, Darra dropped quite a nice 1.62dps 2-hander with a big white glow.
Anyway, I'm happy to organise the raid and distribute the drops by lotto. The easiest way to organise the people needed is to ask for guilds to post here if they will be able to bring 1fg of 45+ to the raid. Meeting point will be HPK HW and I will notify guilds of the time of the raid in-game rather than posting here (for obvious reasons
) Lotto will be done by "one guild, one voice", lottoing the staves first and any other items afterwards. Reciept of an item will put you out of the lotto until everyone else has one too. Hopefully Na Fianna will attend... post here quick guys but if not would there be any objections to me rolling independantly in the lotto for any mana staff that drops (as opposed to preclaiming)?

Aidon Encounter: This is a nuking mob which splits into four seperate mobs. Each mob deals out the same damage (ie there will be lots of strong heat nukes flying around) but one copy is tough(er) than the rest. This is the real Aidon and when he dies, so do all the rest. There are also other wizards in the room, plus red-purp con guards.
Gildas Encounter: Pull him out of his room if at all possible, otherwise a straight fight.
