Am I the only one who likes the warm weather after 2 months of rain ?

Don't be so negative, do the best of it instead.

Go to the beach with some friends, bring some beer and just relax :D

Huzzah for the British weather. We complain that it's too cold when it's cold, and that it's too hot when it's hot. When the temperature is ok, we complain that the weather is boring. When we get snow etc. (Extreme weather!), we are completely unprepared and end up crashing cars.

I love hot/humid and rainy (has to be warm!) weather. I loathe cold wind/rain/sleet/ice.

One of my favourite things in the world is watching football in the pouring rain when it's freezing cold. That is what English football is about in the lower leagues.

Watching football in boiling hot weather is not normal, however.

Bring on winter I say.
I always prefer a colder climate coz you can put more clothes on to keep warm but there's only so many you can take off before it becomes illegal.

y'all don't know what "hot" is. So far, it's ben rare to have a day below 100F (that's 37.7C for you in GB). I think we've averaged between 105-110F with highs above 120F (48.8C).

Only in hot-assed Phoenix, AZ. Hottest city in the US.

Move country then.

Moaning wanker, it's lovely out now. Some of us are stuck in work 7 days a week at the moment, during the only summer we've had. I'll probably be more pale after summer than I was before hand.

Move country AND quit work then.

It was too hot to sleep last night, ugh. I don't mind it during the day but it's horrible when you want to sleep.

Done that once already.
I moved to the UK from South Africa.

Oh and you can stop moaning about having to work 7 days a week.
Get another job.

/me turns up the air-con unit we bought the other day.

TBH it's not fantastic cos we went for the cheapest one but it does make it a little more bearable.

Aye, aircon isnt a magic wand and you gotta buy as much power as you can afford. My 8000btu units are simply fucked in this heat, but the addition of a 12000btu unit has tipped the scales in my favour at last. Whole flat is cold! :stupid dancy smilie thing here:

I got back from the states a couple of weeks back, was in Palm Springs and then Las Vegas - it averaged anywhere between 38c and 44c with it not really dropping during the night. Now, I'm from Scotland and i'm used to 15c ;) - it was totally *unbearable* heat in Vegas (although you do get used to it). I got knackered walking across the street to another casino. I was permanently wet with sweat and panting like a horny dog. Also realised if you don't carry water with you everywhere, you're in real risk of death.

Came back to the UK, have a few days up at 20c and my mates are like "my it's hot" - "hell no, this is cool!". All relative i suppose.

heh I still remember going to Malaysia, walking out of the fresh air conditioned hotel at the airport, and within 2 minutes being slick with sweat. So humid, so hot.

I also remember going to KL in a taxi (with aircon), stepping out onto the street, and having my glasses steam up outside!

I'm not moaning about working, I'm moaning about the dealyed timing of the weather. :)

And if you moved to the UK from SA for the sake of better summers, you are a spastic.
