quik question.

I have cable modem and i have networked up my 2 computers to use the net using ICS now i want to create a CS server which i can do but the ip address it gives out is 192.168xxxxx
but my actual ip is 213.107xxxxxx how do i manage to change the ip so that the server goes onto the internet and not on the network so that my mates can join the game

run the server from the box that actually connects to the internet perhaps?
You can do this on a different pc but I have no idea how to set up port forwarding on windows so m00

this is what i did i am running winME on both server and client computers using ICS to share the internet from my cable modem.

i dloaded this little program called ICS Configuration i got this from here.....

http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/ics/icsconfiguration.htm

then dloaded the ICS Configuration Mappings for half life here...

http://www.practicallynetworked.com/downloads/ICS_Config_maps/Half-life.ics

then import it into the ICS configurator program

hopes this works for you all.......

Before you post this i'm just gonna tell you.

Big evil nasty bug with HL 1107 and ICS/routers

If you get cl_host errors and are getting booted from the server, downgrade to HL 1106.
