Watched the film the other day, considered booking tickets to Slovakia after the first 30 minutes, then i kinda realised i didn't wanna die so thought "nah"

If you want gore go get Ichi the Serial Killer - at least its done better !

Hostel is just a reworked idea of stuff like Van Damme's Hard Target or Ice T in some dodgy Urban film of similar vein - rich people paying for extreme kicks.. Could have been soooo much better - and the boobies - just over the top and added nothing to the film - fine in a pr0n film or something that can justify them but they were almost as bad as the boobies in "Dukes of Hazard" - which I still can't figure out why they included them (other than they are boobies and boobies are good- unless you are holding some and they are not ya missus and she walks in!) ....

The Silent Hill trailor did not look too good neither.

Ichi the killer is good, the oil scene was nasty!

Worst thing I've seen is a Royal Airforce First Aid training video

The injuries were horrific. More so because they were REAL people. Real life. No actors. No makeup. No fancy lights or costumes or settings. These people were horifically mutilated. Most were dead. Gave me nightmares for months.

Like the partly chopped up body of a man who got too close to helecopter rotor blades. Or the boy with a crossbow bolt embedded in the front of his face. Or multiple compound fractures with the white bone poking through flesh. Or pictures of people holding their internal organs in place. People who jump off a 4 storey building: on the left is a pile of their skin, and ten metres to the right is their skeleton cleaned off meat.

Since seeing that, nothing ever freaks me out or scares me in films.
