New Airbus A380 prototype (I think).

That just plain frightens me. Fully laden how much room would that beast need to take off?

Just noticed. Look at the engine on the right hand wing. Should there not be two engines under that wing?

I love the camo paint scheme. Oh no, where has this Airbus gone?

Not fitted yet. Looking at the size of the thing I bet they're inside, along with a couple of 747s!

i hope that pun wasnt intended, but i would struggle to get myself on one of those things it just makes me think how a normal plane gets of the ground then if that takes off with me inside my head'll explode

Suprisingly its the same distance as a 747 requires.

Draylor, care to frighten us with some details?

No surprise at all. After all they wouldn't want airports to HAVE to extend runways, when many may not have the space to do so, to have the thing use them. It just wouldn't make economic sense.

If it can use any airport (on this criterion) that a 747 can use then that's automatically a buttload of routes it can be used on and thus a lot of potential customers.

Oh and someone needs to go look up 'Bernoulli Effect' for how any plane gets off the ground :p.

relax Tremsy: planes are terminally boring. you can watch movies, there are free drinks, and if you're lucky a chance to join the mile-high club :)
other than that, it's sleep till you arrive tbh.

The only fun planes are the 2 - 4 seaters where you get a go to fly them yourself

Helicopters > planes

Such good fun if the cocky pilot pitches it forward when its only 10 feet off the ground, and starts doing 50mph over a field.
