What exactly is wrong with the Valewalkers styles? They are good but the VW has to sacrifice an awful lot to get them. If you compare the VW to other hybrids such as the reaver, Thane, Valk they all have a behind style with a fantastic growth rate and a 150 DD proc. The VW gets a 150 DD proc on a second in chain front style or a second in chain side style.

I was refering to the frontal style, which if played correctly grants the valewalker a sure win in almost any melee fight.

Agree on that, Polar Rift takes very much endurance.

Never mind the end usage, the damage is lower then Draw Out. Less of an issue for Valks and Thanes I guess.

So they do get many nice stuff too as u c
Tho their ML line also sux (for solo)...like thane's. And i hear they have the exact opposite side of the problem Thane's got with caster artifact access.

U should also notate that VW has more than a superior weapskill, better casting dmg even at 30 something spec than a lv50 SC spec thane, the 1st part of that chain is an unbreakable snare and also nice positional styles. VW have higher weapon skill - correct but Thanes/Valk/Reavers have shield spec.
VW do better casting damage but casting is primarily about interupts and all hybrids have some kind of insta interupt. VW mostly get caster arti's.
As I was saying with the styles, yes the VW has good styles but Levi/Ragnarok are awesome styles that can be spammed and you also get access to an any time stun in slam.
The VW absorb buff is 34% compared to a normal caster with 10% absorb. Chain armour has 27% absorb as standard. It's a trade off between 7% extra absorb the VW has and 150-200 AF any chain wearer will have. From playing both a VW and a several chain wearing classes I would say that in general the chain is better. Maybe if your opponent is using thrust weapons the VW might be better but in general no. The VW also has slightly fewer hits.

The VW has to rely on the utility of its styles to get a group spot which is quite hard now as wardens have celerity and maulers are about.

I dont know about fg utility. But i tell u VW r kinda ok as they are on 1vs1 combat. Me and frozen r basically even i could say.
As for shield...yes..but high enough evade (i think)... and still..they make v good use of the 2h with proc... growth rates...celerity... etc

Haha... arms is much more than Pole if u want to. And still .. i find it really viable with pole too.. Just not 1.2 'anytimer' style... will be like 0.75 i say prolly... like Havoc ? or a bit more cause its advanced ?

Well, i can count 7 which is used alot when solo.. Not slam specced tho..

Behind with stun
Parry Chain (3)
And "Enemy parries" which stuns

Most of a vw's styles are above 0.94. Nerf!

Haha... arms is much more than Pole if u want to. And still .. i find it really viable with pole too.. Just not 1.2 'anytimer' style... will be like 0.75 i say prolly... like Havoc ? or a bit more cause its advanced ?

It will be nerfed by like 60%. 1.20 - 60% = 0.72.


Not ideal at all. Armsmen will have no anytimer above that then.

If they get it bellow 90% then i'l go s/s/p and become a block bot with 3328 ws.
