That's some pig: Boy, 11, shoots 1,051 pound hog - CNN.com
Monster_Pig_190784c.jpg

"An 11-year-old boy used a pistol to kill a wild hog his father says weighed a staggering 1,051 pounds and measured 9 feet 4, from the tip of its snout to the base of its tail. Think hams as big as car tires."
thats some pig...

on one side i think its a shame to kill such a big animal, but really... 700 punds of sausage isnt to be taken lightly upon

Hm.

People hunt and don't waste the meat atleast...A lion would've done the same, or a bear. Ah well. Cool that there's beasties like that around.

I was curious about this: "He said he shot the huge animal eight times with a .50-caliber revolver and chased it for three hours through hilly woods before finishing it off with a point-blank shot."

Thought it would take some effort to down :D

Hell, games don't have pigs like that.

Hunting with revolvers is fucked up idea :S

His father said that, just to be extra safe, he and the guides had high-powered rifles aimed and ready to fire in case the beast, with 5-inch tusks, decided to charge.
They probably could have finished it fast instead of torturing for several hours Oo

Nice pig though

Stupid kid should learn to shoot before hunting - gut shooting animals and making them suffer is extremely bad form.

omg thats a giant!

tbh agree 100% if your going to hunt do it properly, i know im all in to animal rights etc but im not anti hunting (for food that is not just for sport) but if your ging to do it you do it in the most humane way possible. alwats seems sad to me when such a supern example as that is killed though its like giant snakes, sharks, elephant etc people kill because of their size makes a great trophy but i think they look more impressive running about.

gotta agree with Eztec,

If you choose to go hunting, do it properly! and if your in any dout as to if you'll make a shot, then dont, "live to fight another day ect.

personally i've never seen the point in hunting things like elephants, lions, lepards, fox's ect, unless it's a case of regulating the population, in wich case it should be left to profesional hunters imo.

killing something mearly for it's antlers, skin, ect and leaving an entire carcus behind has always seemed disgusting to me..

elephants and lions and lepards are endangered tho, so they're kept a strict eye on.. but most european wildlife gets eaten when hunted... and that boar isnt endangered... but it reminds of princess mononoke :p
