Spent a few minutes browsing the mid/alb spell lists, and i came to notice that both albs (cabalist) and mids (runemasters) have the exact same ability to debuff their own damage like the chanter if they only specc themselves to do it.

So a spontaneous question arises, why all this screaming about nerfing chanters so they can't debuff their own damage? it's not like the other 2 realms lack the possibility to do so, only hib have the debuff in an attractive speccline....

And most runies want pbt, which they cant get if they spec for debuffs.

Chanters really dont have much choice but the debuffs.

light spec chanters are still viable, they're just not as uber as mana spec because of the debuff...

we could whine about the lack of dadd in hib, and the lack of stealthers, and the lack of root (better cc against tanks than mez), and the lack of ae stun, and the lack of insta stun, and the lack of uninterruptable end regen, and the lack of population, and the lack of gtaoe, and the lowest dmg nukes in the game despite being the magical realm, and the higher end usage of styles etc etc etc...

but seriously.. who cba to do so?

If runies want pbt instead of debuffs thats fine, let 'em, but then again they shouldn't be complaining about chanters being overpowered, they have the same option, only they set priority on something else.

As for albs, the debuffs being in the speccline it is, it looks rather like the chanters enchantment line<shiver>, if they do change the debuffs in the manaline, i hope they think of some other solution than moving it to the enchantment line, since moving it there without extra fluff in the speccline, would more or less remove heat/cold/matter debuffs entirely from hib.
