hmmm, Alias or Newbie

Is it just me or has there been a MASSIVE increase in the number of "unknown" players playing on public servers, this can only be for 1 of 3 reasons :-

1. Some magazine has given away Tribes on a cover disc (Very unlikely )

2. Players practising new roles/tactics between seasons (A little unlikely)

3. Players not wanting to be embarassed by lower scores now that red mines and chaingun impact skin have been stopped (VERY likely imo)

Please Note :- this is not meant as a flame but as a humurous observation of servers recently.

I think theres a few newbies around, because theres a few really crap playes out there atm, possibility 3, however, I bet makes up for the majority of these unnameds

I also noticed how many people are actually using turrets and mines again. DX is actually interesting again now that the light cappers have to dodge the deployed turrets.

As a newbie Karma did you ever score in excess of 20 points a game against clanned players?

I did. But maybe that was because I was a newbie when tribes was still new. Not played in more than 6 months now, but for other reasons than not liking the game anymore.
