I reckon its part of Bill Gates plot to disorientate users with things like this so we don't worry so much about the fundamental flaws in his products -- oh yeah and so we dont notice him taking over the world too -- does he have a fluffy white cat with a diamond necklace ???

But then what would it be called...?

I can't picture Bill with Mr Bigglesworth...

Any Ideas?

As far as your clock goes, are you on a network? It could be syncronising off an NT server with a crap clock...

My clock loses about a minute a day.

I sometimes find myself still playing Quake at 3am even tho I think its still afternoon. (Well almost)

Have to reset it bout 1nce per week

Quick solution, masking tape over the bottom right hand corner over the screen, then write a message to yourself like;

"Look at watch"
or
"You've been on-line WAY to long!"

just a thought

Just had an idea... Do you have power management enabled?

NT's clock gets messed up when power management starts, so maybe win98's will too if you have it turned on in the bios, but don't have APM/ACPI enabled?

Other than that, You could get an old watch and tape it to the bottom right...

Sounds like your local settings within Win98 are screwed. Check that your timezone is set to GMT+0 (london, lisbon etc) and that the APM feature is switched off.
