Probably because a lot of people don't give a flying fuck anymore about HL2, i'm more interested in Doom 3 and Battlefield 2 next year.

Thief 3 is looking tops too. HL2 looked immense last year, but since it's been "delayed" due to Gabe's pie addiction, it'll probably not stand out as much now as it would have back then.

CS: Source is shaping up nicely too.

You dont think HL2 is gonna stand out because its been delayed for so long? HL2 MP is gonna own Doom 3 anyday...And the game obviously has better open environments than doom 3.

If you were duped (like me) into buying an ATi card because of all the "NVIDIA TEH SUCK ME FOR HL2 OMG NOOBOR CARDS" about a year ago, only for them to delay it for an entire year, then you do start to care a lot less. After playing the leaked techdemo, the rag dolls and wide open spaces become taken for granted in the same way Doom 3's stencil shadowing and pant-wetting scary bits.

That's why I couldn't care less; everytime we've come close to a release with Valve, something's been 'leaked' or accidentally released. Subsequently, CS: Source isn't going to be pre-loaded when it was supposed to be.

CS:Source already has been pre-loaded... there was no delay. Damn stupid thing for them to have done though.

I'm only going by the forums over at steampowered.

Some users are still waiting for the pre-load by the looks; it's supposed to be playable tomorrow.

There seems to be a hack for CS:S already .

Yeh a few hacks and a few bugs ... But thats what the Beta is for to find these things. Just hope enough people play it with that in mind and not just trying to find the bugs to exploit them.
