HL2 release date nonsense

Yet more release date valve-vivendi shenanigans after Vivendi put up release dates on its site and then took them down again almost straight away and then "persuaded" Gamers-Depot to remove a screenshot of the page, thereby removing the last evidence of the cock up.

The dates that time forgot were: US 23rd November and UK 1st December.

One to ignore I think, unless your a masochist.

Ought to have someone put up a timeline style list of adjectives that have been used to describe HL2 over the years. It'd probably go something like:

Revolutionary -> Groundbreaking -> Exciting -> Anticipated -> Expected -> Delayed -> Overdue -> Belated -> ???

Unlikely - the original Half-Life was delayed by over a year too. It seems like Valve have crap time-planning skills, but come through with some quality goods in the end.

DNF is, unfortunately, looking more and more likely to go the way of Daikatana.
