HL & Win2K

hi there ppl,

i cant seem to get HL to install properly on win2k..

what actually happens is that it installs , and the first time i run it i get...

hl.exe created errors.. an error log is being created... blah blah...

why ??

Sorry m8, not got a clue, i am on win2k n have installed Hl many a time with no problems.

Is it a warez version?
U got right Privleiges?
Do u like cheese?

Once U have installed HL you need to update it to the lastest version before you try and play it, the version on the CD wont work under 2K but once U have patched it it will run sweet!!

Yes install this

and if it says it cant find it, keep trying until it does.

It should still work with a normal install & no update though... probably something other than your HL that's faulty...

managed to borrow blue shift from someone , which had the 1106 patch on it..
run fine now, and i put the nice faces patch on too..

Not under Win2K. I've just reinstalled it myself, with the same result. Patching it to the latest version fixed it.
