Shame on you Emb. It's not like you to post something as old a this....

There is however a new HL2 vid coming out (hopefully) in the next 24 hours so watch this space. I hear it's going to be about 2 mins long and is "worth the wait" to quote one of the people who's seen it already.

It has been postponed quiet a few time tho, it was orignally supposed to come out on the 1st of July

Anyhow, if you haven't seen it, it is worth the lengthy download.

I'm as eager as a beaver, so easger in fact for many of the up coming games (DOOM 3, HOmeworld etc) that I'm gonna upgrade pretty damn soon, maybe athlon 64.


My main issue is the new ATi and Nvidea cards will be out around septemeber


Dunno if I should get one of those or get the price push reduced 9800

Ive pre ordered HL2 and Doom III.

And the good thing is I only get charged when they send it out!

So all I have to do is sit and wait for them to release it!

but I find their dellivery time is pretty poor and they usually charge 3-4 more for a game. Oh delivery ain't free.


I've checked out games planet, they're cheaper (A LOT cheaper) for doom but halflife is the same price (but free delivery).

they delivered to me fast thats what made me try them from game. I ordered friday at 3PM and it was there saturday next day and you had to SIGN for it.

just impressed me for a new company

And their web site is also very easy to navigate!

Only thing I find a little limiting is the search engine. If I want to see whats out on budget I gotta crawl through everything. Play do searching darn well, and GAME does searching darn well. I think game online is okay but I'd prefer to buy from the actual retail shops.

I'm going to downlaod both games off the net and then make copies to sell on eBay.

That way the games companies lose money and I get rich.

Apparently when these new movis come out they'll be footage that's been seen before but they will be on an updated version of the engine and the video will possibly be released at 1024 res.

Oh I know its old, just no one had posted it and its the firdt time I've really given HL2 a good look. I'll pre order it but won't preorder D3 as I want to see it properly first.

I tend to get my stuff from Play.com, but that's mainly DVDs etc, although I did purchase Morrowind from them - cheap and fast too.

The problem with Play.com is if a game is crap (as opposed to the CD actually being defective) you're stuck. If you order from GAME, then you can return it within a couple of weeks to a shop if it's a pile of crap.

Which I think is worth the extra £1.50 or so delivery charge.
