Hinging : Other materials then metal ?

As in topic, wich items are best to "hinge" from other materials (wood, leather, cloth).

Because it seems that you need extra material for cloth and leatherworking...

Wood can be trinketed on its own.
Cloth you need thread for it.
Leather you need metal and thread.

You get 98% back from the "buy" price from merchants , sometimes i just buy the thread if i have alot of cloth to salvage , to me 2% isnt that much to lose. :)
