Lots of ppl leaving albion for hibernia, despite everbody knowing that the realm kinda sucks (golf course etc etc) you get at least one person on boards saying cya in Hib... how come?

It's the CS crowd who want to be "teh ub4r d3wdz" and rule us all in emain. Hib is best off as a realm come 1.52, given an even numbered encounter...

Albion will always be like China ---> we will get to you in numbers
Midgard like exUSSR ----> we used to be uber but now we are too old to remember how to do it

Hibernia ---> Iraq, small but nasty bugger with nasty chemical weaponry hehehe :)

Yeah Jadow! Shame on you!

Surely by now you should know that Hibs outnumbers both Mid and Alb in Emain now :)

Actually I prefer to think of Hibernia as, well, Ireland really.

Low population, peaceful, quiet.

But tell an Irishman that someone stole his pint and the whole country will be after whoever did it :)

Well according to the daoc makers of the game i beleive the following realms represent the following countries:

Albion=The UK(pretty obvious due to having snowdonia etc)
Midgard=Norway(Vikings say no more)
Hibernia=Ireland(Green,pretty and lurikeens are maybe supposed to represent leprechauns?)

Yeah but these arent the correct representatives Matt :)

I mean UK outnumbering Scandi ??? Ireland having portable nuclear/chemical weapons ???

I still think mah comparison is more fitting :)

En Vakt = A Guard

Vakten = The Guard

So "Elding Vakten" = "Guardian of the Fire"

Jupp and naming _the_ most horrible, horrible spot "Malmö" was so spot on.

bit more difficult...

"Herra" is not a pure swedish word.
In Finnish it means the same thing as the word "Herr" in Swedish though.

"Herre" can be used in a word like "Borgherre", which would translate to "Master of the Castle", if we avoid using regular british titles for such things.

"Herr", as a single word, translates to "Mister" (Mister Smith/Herr Smith) and since "Mister" derives from the word "Master"...

Ludlow is a real place in England and is in pretty much in the same geographical position in DaoC as in RL.
while on the subject Tolkein is said to have based the shire on the countrysid enear where he lived in the Birmingham area. Now look at a map of middle earth ... that makes Mordor London hehe.

Herra is basically Lord :) The titles aren't Swedish though, IMO they look more Icelandic ;) Names of mobs/places etc are definetely Swedish though; FEAR the awesome might of Malmöhus :m00:
