Albion will always be like China ---> we will get to you in numbers
Midgard like exUSSR ----> we used to be uber but now we are too old to remember how to do it
Hibernia ---> Iraq, small but nasty bugger with nasty chemical weaponry hehehe

Actually I prefer to think of Hibernia as, well, Ireland really.
Low population, peaceful, quiet.
But tell an Irishman that someone stole his pint and the whole country will be after whoever did it

Well according to the daoc makers of the game i beleive the following realms represent the following countries:
Albion=The UK(pretty obvious due to having snowdonia etc)
Midgard=Norway(Vikings say no more)
Hibernia=Ireland(Green,pretty and lurikeens are maybe supposed to represent leprechauns?)

En Vakt = A Guard
Vakten = The Guard
So "Elding Vakten" = "Guardian of the Fire"

Ludlow is a real place in England and is in pretty much in the same geographical position in DaoC as in RL.
while on the subject Tolkein is said to have based the shire on the countrysid enear where he lived in the Birmingham area. Now look at a map of middle earth ... that makes Mordor London hehe.
