Hibernia and Albion..

Why is it that Hibernians have most grudges against Albion?

Is it so or is it just me

It might be because of early times when albs where camping emain and most of our frontier but I really dont know. Not had many bad encounters with midgard'iens tho...

Any one have some new opinions on this?

Prolly because most of the engagements have been with Albion, practically nightly we engage in a swaying battle in emain between the pk and crim. Most of the albs have a name we can love to hate, such as Veeshan, Grommit, Mad, Insurexion, Jhazara etc.

Until very recently the mids harrassed our borders(bee), but not often in force at emain. I get the feeling we will learn to hate the mids too, now that they ganking us at the wall

It was the same in beta, at the start mids where the big power, but as time went on and the other realms got higher lvls, the mids just got forgoten and only the hibs would put up a good fight.

I have my personal reasons. Many mids i spoke with via irc are quite nice and good behaving people. All the albs i spoke with are arrogant and immature... i might give some reason to that but still... i dont like their tone.

Albs are saying something about CC-force? Albs? The people camping tellykeep with uberguards... and... the albs have the numbers mids dont... must hate numbers.

And the main reason that pissed me originally off is propably expkilling... stoopid minstrels stealth behind your back and mez you when you are on mob... even if there is more of them or something... Jazhara, Alpha etc. arrogant flamers and expkillers. Must hate

Must hate most overpowered classes too... like smitecleric- that shouldnt excist.

I think a lot of it is perception. To most Hibernians the Albs have more powerful magic, they have LOTS of insta spells compared to the other realms, when Hibernia is meant to be the "magical" realm.

Albion also got a lot more time spent on it, its easier to level in and is generally just better planned. Bit of jealousy here probably

Other reason (personally) is that when I was in albion/excal when retail was just released I rarely met anyone that wasnt a complete sh!thead, immature or simply L33T

A lot of Hibbies play alts on midgard, not sure why this is the case but it just seems that those 2 realms appeal more to us than the overpowered/overpopulated Albion

oh and playing the underdogs is always more fun

I'm growing some liking for that gal I think.

Everytime albion are slowly gathering morale and numbers to pass alb wall and we're playing hide and seek in the doors it seems we have each other targetted a lot

Personally i prefer killing middies, esp since some of them may well be the alts of hibbies i dont much like you know who u are

Tho i dont speak with them on IRC like sal and others do... kinda dont see the point tbh, i play a game where they speak a foriegn language outta choice, it's one of my fave features, why would i wanna speak to um on IRC?

I just hate albs cos they come in, mez and pick us out 1 by 1 which makes rvr oh so fun. Mez mez bloody mez.
With Mids who I like, its either get chopped up by Mr.Troll and his purple axe, or get gfx lag to death by a Runie

LOL Kainz like that happens to everyone of us (especially tanks) Mezz totally ruins the game balance. And of ALL albs being arrogant is pretty ridiculous. People meet some just for the first time and they yell they are arrogant.. We've got at least 600 players and you think they all are arrogant? I think you made that judgement a bit wrong in my eyes...

albs and mez dont go together ... only classes with AE mezzes are sorcerers (we are lucky to have 2 in emain anytime) and air spec theurgs (we all know theurgs are earth/ice) ... only ones doing mezzing most of the time are minstrels - crappy 3 second casting single target mez

i dont know why but i dont actually mind midgard at all, they kinda cool guys.....just dont know why i dont like albion, prehaphs its coz im always getting 1 hit killed by them....lol....the life of a caster

sorcs only get single targetted root and that's what Veeshan put u in Nol most of alb CC is done by theurgs AE root - which sucks compared to AE mez cause u still can shoot, cast, enter combat mode and /wave when u are rooted

Sorc can AE root (at least Veeshan , i talked with him ) and it doesn suck!
Sorc is one of the best ALb class , so stfu

We went all the way to cemetary just to get her. Well worth the trip though when Jinx mezzed 10 angry albs and we legged it

ahh yeah my bad sorcs do have an AE root - and it DOES suck when compared to AE mez lucky sorcs get both ... too bad theurgs only get root with the common 35earth/41ice build

i never said sorcs werent good - they are one of the best classes in Albion no doubt ... i just said there are waaaaay too few of them in Emain
