Hib Factions?

Any factions I need to avoid pissing off too much in the early levels so I have an easier time getting around in the later game?

At the mo I'm keeping the Sheeries happy for no reason whatsoever and pissing off curmugeons and siabras. Will this hurt me later?

If you dont care about quests then dont worry about factions too much.

Sherries arent really a danger, better to keep on side if you want to do the quests that involve talking to named sherries in Moher easily.

The main faction is siabra vs curms. If you can stay on the side of the siabra it makes moving around in some zones a lot easier. Curms arent really a danger. Theres a quest or two that requires you to have firmly taken one side or the other (not sure it matters) Far from essential though.

Insect city Zrrcck or something in SI, just dont farm them if you want to complete some of the quests. Kill corruptors etc to raise faction.

Outland resisdents (also SI) is worth keeping on side if you want to visit their village.

Epic mobs in CF have their own faction, kill to many named mobs and they will turn agressive which could make leveling at fins a problem.

Keeping your siab faction if yer going for the focus epic is a good idea.

better to kill bark strippers and corrupt sylvans (loc 13, 14 vigilant rock afaik) get a few nice lvl 35-40 rog drops from them too, green con to 50, was soloing there at 35ish on my ranger, gank gank gank, whole field of them and those corrupters have an irittating dot.

For path of essence characters (champ, bard, ns and enchanter) keeping neutral siabra faction early on for trainer quests is very helpful. I dont think you can do the level 15 part unless you have neutral as you have to go into a wood full of them (mind you most are lucky to get out alive as they gang up on you after completing that part of the quest).

Good siab faction makes life easier on some epic quests.

Never minded Hib faction when I levelled my druid.

Not a real problem, levelled mostly in SI tho.

Only thing I ran into is that there is high level quest (forgot name) where you have to talk to some citizen in Lost Worlds or something. He's aggro to me so can't complete the quest.

I heard I need to kill Corrupters to fix that, but I now got my SC-suite and happy with it, so I just skip the quest :p

Restoring faction for a druid is pretty hard because even bluecons require a group to fix faction hehe

doesnt matter
just get some pbaers and go blow up everything

epic quests arent really that hard you gotta maintain faction :p

With my druid I was doing epics and most where piss-easy. I think I solo'ed them all until lvl 45 with my 50 druid in ROG drops (very crappy armour, but no money at that time).

The lvl 50 was scheduled to do with my guild, had to kill some tree in CF.

Asked a chanter to focuspull it while I healed the pet.. Didn't work too good, we got the tree to 20% and then it kept healing up to 30% and back to 20% until the chanter was OOM.

Let the chanter regain some mana in a new try, focuspulling till the tree was at 20%, let the chanter break focus and walk in, pop MOC and PB.. I kept spamhealing the chanter ---> epic done :)

Was the easiest epic to do in my career ;)

I once started over with a char because I had been in a group that killed those cluricauns and lucradans, so I was aggro to one and hostile to the other. At low level its a pain to be aggro to them because they run around fecking everywhere!! I think its Wild Lucrdans or so that mezz you when you run away. That was a shock lol.

The other main faction as Nuked says was Curms vs Siabras. At a certain point I blasted so many ghostly and other siabras that curms were friendly to me :D Best do it the other way around tho as i found a lot more siabras in many places than curms.

Seems once you tilt the balance of faction, you can never return to the balanced situation and one of the two will always be aggro.

screw all the factions imo.

the only faction you need is good faction towards the Krzck town. but a galladoriaraid will fix that. or atleast it did for my druid :)

oh, bad siabra faction might be trixxy at the L40 focus path quest if you get the "wrong" siabra. but it's still doable since thesiabra you need to talk to aren't more then hostile. tho they others can ofc be aggro ;)

If you're path of focus, keeping siabra's neutral/friendly might help you a lot with your 40 epic.
In the 40 epic you have to talk with 1 of 3 or 4 npc's. One of those is in a lowish siabra camp in Lough Gur but is not part of the siab faction. Another is in a high siab camp( guardians and archmages) in the Bog and is part of the siab faction.
The other npc's are easy to reach.
If you're 40 and want to repair siabra faction, the only curm camps which are not grey, can be found in the gorge and collory.

Don't worry about factions too much would be my advice it's fun to twat curms and siabs. Worst that can happen is that get agro once in a while when you doing your epic quest and you might even die once or twice if you do your epic solo, but at least you will have profited from the good xp Unseelie and Seelie facted mobs provide :D.
