Hib Duo?

A friend and i are planning to start both a character in Hibernia. As i don't know very much of hib characters, i am left wondering what the best duo is to play (both fun and exp-wise).

focus pull with chanter + MR/(heals)/Dots of menty

imho, perma mana song, and actually having runsong/endsong and mess and much more important (for pulls that go wrong) LULL! is far more important then those buffs =)

manachanter+bard or manachanter+druid with pots. int/dex buff and con buff on pet from druid makes a large difference to focus pulling. however relying on pots isn't necessarily a good idea unless you got lots of cash.

well i found a mana ment and a light ment to own... the mana ment practically leaches his xp.. but the light ments got mr so it balances up

can also get a bard and a druid as buffbots aswll then

he needs money for your suggestion, but since he is new to hib I kinda doubt that he has that. tho he might be able to transfer

Oh, and eventho the petpulls is very nice they are boring like hell.

Not sure how much cash the manapotions really demand though, but its clearly a combo that will make up cash in the long run =)

It would be no problem though, if they talk about a level-fast-combo, case there is always a bard or mana ment around that can help them, and its cheaper to have 2 manachanters using the mr potions then to get scale for the druid anyways aint it? :lol:

potions = perma mana song
chanter = run song

I would rather have the boofs:-

pet is stronger can take more adds and deal more damage.
chanter and druid have boofs to help them survive
chanter gets Acuity buff

I can see how lul and mezz could get you out of trouble, though I would hope to not get in that situation in the first place, focus pulling is quite safe once you find a camp spot that matches your abilites, you certainly dont need half your party just for CC...

Me and a friend had the same problem so we started a Warden and a Hero. Seems to be working well and we are having alot of fun

2 Shield tanks can be a fun combo. If u cross guard and trade aggro u can take down purple mobs np (of course u get no more xp than for a red but it's fun to do )

Best is Mana/Ment Mentalist, Champion, personally double teamed 30 odd levels real fast

Classes that work well together:

Any mage (except a few like enchantment specced chanters ) + Bard/manament

Any melee class + Druid/Bard/Warden

Tbh, practically any 2 characters can make a good group if you play them to their strengths, fun duos i have tried and liked were:

Arboreal Animist + Manament

Shield specced hero + LW champ

Void Eld + Ranger

Any class grouping with a bard/druid..

void eld + NS is quite fun

Voidey bolts in the red and the NS PA/CDs them bout half way on the route to voidey

but yeah as said above any two classes really can make a good team once you understand their strengths and weaknesses

But with regards to manachanter id have to say bard as well as the MR is an important issue and you dont want to have to walk about with loasd of potions all the time

Hero hero can duo purples :great:

And i still think bard is better then druid mate, potions is not perma mr, they are ofter hard to get made for you, too expencive to train for yourself (if your new to the realm), to expencive to buy, and they dont stack, so its not possible to bring enough of the darn potions for a day in the battlefield. And ench runsong = teh s00k!!! Nothing compare to end/runsong twisting ^_^

the buffs is nice, but dont really make much difference, if i would say druids is better, it would rather be case they have more mana efficent heals, which is true, and put the buffs as a clear bonus. They sum up quite equal really, but beeing new to the realm, i would rather get a bard then a druid becase of:

songs is more practic then the potions.
songs is A LOT cheaper then the potions.
Its a better duo in rvr later (if its rl mates leveling)
Runsong + sprint is something you get addicted to, it helps A lot on all quests/tasks and rotations you might wanna do, and you simply learn the realm a lot better with bardspeed then without (belive me, you go a lot of places you would never have went without it)

druids have:
better heals
better buffs
a single target root.

all nice, but i would rather go bard ^_^

edit: new to the realm: bards get rf, druids scale, its a biiig cash difference.

Aerials NotGenaRezYOU - Friar Level 16 and cba to play it anymore
Wyte Celeste - Necromancer Level 2x and rapidly rising - omg i love this class.

My hero have played more then you, and he have been inactive a year

so neer neer.

oh, and its about the most effective leveling group in hibernia, consisting of two real life mates.
