Hello,

Im still new to alb and the game really, lvl 21 armswomen and loving it.

But i have a few questions i was wondering if i could get answerd:

1, Im spec'd 21shield and 20 crush, i got told other day that im gimped (take it thats bad?) because i am crush and cos ive not trained in parry?

2, I dont seem to see any other crush armsmen around is that becuase it is crap, so there for i am gimped?

3, Ive got 3 Realm Abilities now and have been looking around to see what use they are. And just wondered if getting regeneration 2 is anygood?

4, My armour is getting pretty crap now and im still wearing some chain so any ideas where to hunt for some better armour?

yo mate tbh who cares what others say its your char..and when you get to lvl 50 you can still go 50 crush or if u wanna repsec to slash. 42 shield then loads parry.

1.) Speccing crush isnt gimp imo, crush styles get a small upgrade in 1,62(snare component gets fixed) And with speccing crush you will autotrain slash, at 40 this gives you extra points if you respecc to slash

4.) Keltoi is good to get plate from, Vindicator plate i think its called =)

Also as far as RA`s go, ignore pain is an absolute must for tanks I would get this 1st, then ask around about the others, some ra`s seem great on paper, but when bought are crap

regeneration is useless, so don't take it.

Hi mate

I play a 50 Merc Using slash.

when I tel ppl would be ace trying a Crush pala they go all SOOKS NOOB etc.

So the thing is,. 95% of the ppl saying to u that crush sucks etc. have heard it from another that heard it from another etc etc.

they are going for the all realm rumors.

also. Im sick jealous of u. being new an experience all from the beginning.

The funniest days in my daoc experience was Beta. early daoc and fighting my ass off for 50.

I wish u the best luck there =) U gonna need it <laugh>

Im only lvl 16 Mercenary, Spec'd in Crush. Do what I am doing because inthe long run it is awsome...

Keep at Crush untill lvl 40. Respec Slash then, by then autotrain will of raised your Slash allowing you to save some spec points.

These spec points go on Parry

Oh get 42 Sheild for Stun

Crush is a hard hitting style. Never Look Back!

Crush is no where near gimped. Altough slash has more +dmg bonus it also has more -dmg penalty. both slash and crush are good as they are both pure str based. 1h thrust is a bit dodgy, the dmg is dex and str based and you will miss out a lot of styles becuse they trigger of evade.

As for the armour, try to ask someone in your aloliance/guild to craft you some. or go to DF to farm seals and by DF armour. (it's much better then vindicator imho).

Shield is better then parry so there is nothing wrong with your spec line. And as someone already mentioned, get First aid 1 + 2 asap, IP will be a lifesaver many times.

Im a Crush pally and heres the ups and down with crush in my opinion, crush is great not many monsters has crush resist and you will have a nice selections of styles to chose from, the problem is that most hammers are for clerics or Mercs so its hard to find a really good hammer.

But to make the route to 50 a little easier you should go for Ihnore Pain as that will be a lifesaver.

Ive done a little reading, and the bit about df armour i read is it's level 34+ which is to high for me.

With your advice for FA1+2 i will get FA1 only then have to wait until high 40's, as i hear the other bg's are always empty? any idea why?

Not sure, but I think it's just one of those things that kinda happened. Everybody was playing BG 1 and loving it. When someone had reached their cap they had a choice; either move on to BG2 and wait until there were other (and enough) players ready to go there, or 2; create and PL a new character to 24 to jump right back into Thidranki. I guess most have chosen for the second option. Soon when we have the option to /level 20 (if you have a season 50 char that is) this will even be worse as everybody will have a perfect thidranki character in a very, VERY short time.
